Overview

Harvous is a Bible study notes app operated by Testament Made LLC ("we," "us"). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Harvous, you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

Account information. When you sign up, we use Clerk for authentication. Clerk may collect your email address, name, and sign-in details needed to verify your identity.

Your content. We store the notes, threads, spaces, highlights, and related study data you create in Harvous. This content is tied to your account and is private by default.

Usage and device data. We collect technical and product-usage information to keep Harvous reliable and to understand how the app is used — for example browser or device type, app version, pages or screens viewed, feature usage, and error reports. This may be associated with your account (such as your user id, and limited profile details like email or name) so we can improve the product.

Email and messaging. If you have an account or subscribe to updates, we may store your email and related preferences so we can send product or service communications (for example, onboarding or important account notices).

How we use your information

We use your information to provide and improve Harvous: syncing your notes across devices, authenticating your account, analyzing product usage, responding to support requests, sending relevant product or service emails, and protecting the service from abuse. We do not sell your personal information.

Sharing

Your notes are private unless you choose to share them. When you create a share link, only the content you explicitly share becomes accessible to people with that link. We use trusted service providers who process data on our behalf under appropriate agreements, including Clerk (authentication), Supabase (data storage), PostHog (product analytics), and Audienceful (email). These providers only receive what they need to perform their services for us.

We configure analytics with privacy in mind: we do not enable session recording by default, we do not turn on broad automatic click capture, and we respect browser Do Not Track settings when they are enabled.

Cookies

Harvous uses cookies and similar technologies (including local storage) to keep you signed in, remember basic preferences, and support product analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work without them. Enabling Do Not Track in your browser may limit analytics collection.

Data retention and deletion

We retain your account and content for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us. Some information may be kept briefly where required for legal or security purposes, or for a limited time in analytics or email systems after deletion while those systems process the request.
